Everything you need to find your place on Freekeek.

1. Follow a place before you post

Freekeek is organised around places. Before you can publish anything, follow at least one place from Explore. Once you do, the composer unlocks on your feed.

2. Search places with autocomplete

On Explore, start typing a city, neighbourhood, campus, mall, or café. Suggestions come from Google Places (when configured) or from places already on Freekeek. Pick one to add and follow it instantly.

3. The place web

Places nest inside one another — a café sits inside a neighbourhood, which sits inside a city. Each place page shows this “web”: its parent places above, sibling neighbours alongside, and the places inside it below.

4. Privacy on every post

When you post, choose who can see it: Public (anyone, including search engines), Place (followers of that place), Followers (your followers), or Private (just you).

5. Classifieds

Buy, sell, or rent vehicles and real estate from the Classifieds tab. Listings can be tied to a place so buyers find them locally.

6. Reporting & safety

See something off? Use the 🚩 report control on any post or listing. Reports go to our moderation team, who can remove content or restrict accounts.
